Juan Ojeda

An Argentine goalkeeper from Santa Fe, Juan Marcelo Ojeda forms a crucial part of Club Atletico River Plate, a top division club in the Argentine football league. Making his debut with Rosario Central, in 2004, Ojeda played his first match against Colon de Santa Fe, which they lost 1-0. He remained with Rosario till he was transferred to River Plate in January 2007. For the Apertura 2007, former goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo was expected to leave for Lazio, which led to Ojeda being selected as first choice keeper. But Carrizo's transfer was delayed, which resulted in Ojeda spending the season on the bench. In the 2008 Clausura tournament as well, Ojeda did not make a single league appearance. With Carrizo's transfer being confirmed in June 2008, now Ojeda is all set to take over the reins.
