Francesco Bolzoni came through the ranks at Inter Milan and made his debut for the senior side on February 1, 2007 when he played 26 minutes of the Coppa Italia semi-final return leg against U.C. Sampdoria at San Siro.

Bolzoni made his UEFA Champions League debut for Inter Milan against PSV Eindhoven in the 2007-2008 season.
