Tyler Arnason is a Canadian-American center on the New York Rangers.
Arnason was drafted by Chicago in 1998, and went on to play college hockey at St. Cloud State. He played 4 seasons with Chicago after breaking into the league in 2001. His best career season to date was in ’03-04, when he recorded 22 goals and 55 points. He had a short stint with Ottawa after the 2006 trade deadline, but joined the Avalanche during the following offseason. He has developed into one of the Avalanche’s top centers, behind mentor Joe Sakic. In 2006-07, Arnason had his best season with the Avs, finishing with 16 goals and 49 points. In 2008-09, Arnason had a relatively poor season, scoring only 5 goals and 22 points. He was signed by New York during the 2009 offseason.
Arnason played for Team USA at the 2007 World Championships.
