Michael Carrick is an English football player who plays midfielder in Manchester United since 2006.

In 1996 Michael Carrick became a professional when he signed on for the West Ham United youth academy. Carrick made his fist team debut in August 1999 in the 3-0 win against Bradford City. In 2003 West Ham United was relegated to the Football League Championship. Carrick stayed with the club. He has played 136 games and scored 6 goals for the Hammers.

In 2004 Michael Carrick was sold to Tottenham Hotspur for £2.75 million. Carrick played two seasons with Tottenham Hotspur that was very successful. He played 64 games and scored 2 goals.

In 2006 Carrick signed on to Manchester United. He was sold from Tottenham Hotspur for £18.6 million. Carrick won the FA Premier League in his first season with Manchester United.

Michael Carrick has played 13 caps for England since 2001.
