Louis Laurent Saha is a product of FC Metz youth academy and debuted on a senior level for the club in 1998. Saha played 47 games for FC Metz and scored 5 goals for the club. In 1999 Louis Saha was loaned to Newcastle United but he only played 11 games and scored one goal.
