Patrice Evra progressed through the youth system at Paris Saint-Germain and actually played as a striker during is teenage stars. He commenced his career at Marsala in 1998 and played for them for one season and played alongside Thierry Henry.
Patrice Evra then played the 1999-2000 season for the Italian Serie B side Monza but played just 3 league matches. He returned to French Ligue 2 in the summer of 2000 for Nice. After two impressive seasons for Nice as a left back, AS Monaco signed the player who quickly became a vital piece of the Monaco jigsaw that reached the 2004 UEFA Champions League final.
In the summer of 2006,Manchester United signed Evra from Monaco for 5.5 million pounds on a three and a half years contract. He quickly settled into the first team at Old Trafford and has won the Premiership title twice in 2007 and 2008 and the UEFA Champions League in 2008.
Patrice Evra made his international debut for France in 2003 and played for them at the Euro 2008 finals.
