Paolo Cannavaro developed at the youth academy of Napoli and made his professional debut for the club during the 1998-1999 season in the Italian Serie A at just 17 years of age. He featured in two Serie A matches and was signed by then high flying Parma in 1999.
Paolo Cannavaro was part of the Parma first team until 2006-although he was on loan to Verona for the 2001-2002 season- and scored 4 goals in 92 league matches. He also played alongside his brother Paolo in his first season at Parma.
In 2006 Paolo Cannavaro moved back to Napoli and has been an ever present since then for the Naples side. He has featured in over 60 league matches for Napoli.
