Micah Lincoln Richards is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Manchester City. He plays as a defender and can play as centre-back or as right back. Richards is said to be one of the best central defenders in Europe.

Micah Richards developed at the youth club of Manchester City and played his forst competitive match for Man City in October 2005 against Arsenal and played as a substitute He made his first start against Charlton Athletic and really came into public picture in the 2006-2007 season when he was one of the outstanding players in the Premiership as he was rock in the centre of Man City defender.

Micah Richards became a regular for Manchester City in the 2007-2008 season as playing as a right back he not only helped his team’s defense of their fortress but also contributed in his team’s attack during set-pieces. Richards was hailed as one of the best defenders in the Premiership in the 2007-2008 season.

Micah Richards made his international debut for England in November 2006 against the Netherlands after he had played just 28 matches for his club Man City. He has scored 1 goal in 11 international matches so far.
