Kolo Toure

Kolo Habib Toure is an Ivory Coast international footballer who currently features for the Premiership giants Arsenal. He is a central defender and is considered as one of the best in the world.

Kolo Toure commenced his career at ASEC Mimoosas and was picked by Arsenal in 2002 for 150,000 pounds. He made his debut for the Gunners in August 2002 against Liverpool in the Community Shield. Toure would then gradually creep into the first team and by the 2005-2006 season he established himself as first choice central defender for the Gunners and is currently the captain of the club. Kolo Toure made made more than 200 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal.

Toure earned his first international cap for Ivory Coast in 2000 and has gone onto play almost 50 times for his nation. He played for his nation in the African Cup of Nations 2004 and in the 2006 Germany World Cup.
