Luca Sbisa is a Swiss defenseman on the Anaheim Ducks.
Sbisa was drafted 19th overall by Philadelphia in 2008. He joined the Flyers right out of training camp, but was not expected to stay past the initial trial period. However, his play was remarkably impressive, and the Flyers decided to keep him on the permanent roster for the season. Sbisa would play in 39 games, scoring 7 points, before being returned to the minors. He was recalled to the Flyers for the 2009 postseason, where he appeared in a number of games. He was traded to Anaheim in the 2009 offseason, as one of the main parts of a mega-trade that send Chris Pronger to Philadelphia.
