Andrew Alberts is an American defenseman on the Carolina Hurricanes.
Albers was drafted in 2001 by the Boston Bruins, and went on to play four years of college hockey at Boston College. He joined the Bruins in 2005, after the lockout, finishing his rookie season with 7 points and 68 penalty minutes. The following season, he nearly doubled his penalty minutes, finishing with 124. He was traded to Philadelphia in 2008. With Philadelphia, Alberts had a strong season, posting a career high 13 points and 61 penalty minutes, as well as a +6 rating. In 2009, Alberts signed a 2 year deal with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Alberts played for Team USA at the 2006 World Championships.
