Franck Ribery

Franck Bilal Ribery is an French international football player who currently features for the German giants Bayern Munich. He plays as a winger and is regarded as one of the best players in the world.

Franck Ribery commenced his professional club football career at French club Boulogne in 2001 and after one season moved to Ales. He subsequently played for Stade Brestois and Metz and moved to Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray in 2005. But he didn't play long there and after featuring in 14 league matches moved back to France, this time to traditional giants Marseille.

It was at Marseille that Ribery began to exhibit his talent and his reputation grew. At the end of the 2006-2007 season the Frenchman was signed by German powerhouse Bayern Munich on a four-year contract for 25 million euros, a club record. He immediately became a star and was adjuded as the German Footballer of the Year for the 2007-2008 season after he had inpired Bayern to the Bundesliga title. He was one of the few stand-out performers for Bayern in a diappointing 2008-2009 season.

Franck Ribery made his international debut for France on May 27,2006 against Mexico and featured for France in the 2006 World Cup finals. Ribery was star performer in the competition and played a key role in his nation's march to the final.Among his achievements are:
