Sergio Escudero

Born in Argentina, Sergio Escudero is a footballer who specializes in playing the midfield for Argentinos Juniors. Escudero began his career at Racing de Olavarria, in the 4th division of the Argentine football league, in 2003. A year later, he joined Alvarado de Mar del Plata, still staying in the league. However, as his performances grew strong, he was noticed and picked up by Olimpo de Bahia Blanca for the 2005 season of the Argentine Primera Division. The club got relegated at the end of the season and Escudero decided to stay on and help the revival process and as a result, gained silverware in the form of the 2006 Apertura tournament win. His performance brought Independiente to his door but his stay was rather short-lived, as he left the club after just 7 games. Since then, Escudero moved to Argentinos Juniors where he has become a permanent fixture in the starting eleven.
