Walter Alejandro Gargano Guevara, commonly known as Walter Gargano, is a Uruguayan international football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Napoli. He plays as a midfielder and is considered as one of the best Uruguayan players at the moment.

Walter Gargano is a product of the youth academy of Uruguayan giants Danubio and made his first team debut in 2004. He played for them between 2004 and 2007 and scored thrice in 83 league matches.

Gargano's impressive form earned him a move to Italian club Napoli in June 2007 for 2 million pounds. He is a regular first team player fo the Naples side.
