Simon Gagne is a Canadian winger on the Philadelphia Flyers.

Gagne was drafted in 1998, and joined the Flyers in 1999, after having his number retired by the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL. Only Guy Lafleur and Gagne have their numbers retired by that organization. Gagne made an immediate impact, scoring 20 goals and 48 points in his rookie season. He was named to the North American All-star team in his second season.

Gagne set career highs in 2005-06, with 41 goals and 79 points and was named Team MVP. Gagne continued to shine in 2006-07, despite the absence of linemate Peter Forsberg and the fact that the Flyers were one of the worst teams in the league. Gagne suffered three concussions in the 2007-08 season and played only 25 games before being placed on Injured Reserve. He is currently an alternate captain for the Flyers, and has been on the Flyers longer than any other player.

Gagne has won multiple medals as a member of Team Canada. He won a silver medal at the 1999 World Junior Championships. He then won gold at the 2002 Olympics and 2004 World Cup, and another silver at the 2005 World Championships. He was also a member of the 2006 Canadian Olympic team.
