Mikael Tellqvist is a Swedish goalie on the Phoenix Coyotes.
Tellqvist was drafted by Toronto in 2000, and played one more season with Djurgardens IF before coming to Toronto. He joined the Leafs in 2002, and over the course of four seasons, he played only 40 games with Toronto. He was traded to Phoenix in 2006, where he has seen more regular action. However, with the signing of Ilya Bryzgalov, Tellqvist has been relegated to the backup role yet again.
Tellqvist won a gold medal with Sweden at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
