One of the professional basketball players of the United States who currently plays for Phoenix Suns in the NBA (National Basketball Association) is Amare Carsares Stoudemire. He occupies the Forward-Center position on the court. During the 2002 NBA draft, he was chosen by Phoenix Suns in the 1st round. He was the 9th pick and overall 9th pick. Since then he has never been drafted to any other team and till date has been associated with Phoenix Suns only. During the 2004 Olympic Games, he was a part of the United States men’s national basketball team that won the Bronze medal. In 2003, he was the winner of the NBA Rookie of the Year Award.
