Rob Blake is a Canadian hockey player who plays for the LA Kings since 1989. He was drafted by the Kings in 1989 and played for the team for twelve seasons helping them reach the Stanley Cup final where they lost to Montreal. Blake became the captain after Gretzky moved to St. Louis. In 2001 Blake was traded to Colorado Avalanche and won the Stanley Cup with the team in his first year.
Blake has played in six NHL All-Star Games (1994, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003). In 1998 he received the James Norris Trophy for best Defenceman of the Year.
