Erik Cole is an American left winger on the Edmonton Oilers.
Cole was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in 1998. He played his college hockey at Clarkson, and joined the Hurricanes in 2001, making immediate impressions with a 16 goal, 40 point season. He remained a staple of Carolina’s offense over the next six seasons, with his best statistical season in 2006-07, finishing with 29 goals and a career high 61 points. He won a Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes in 2006, and was traded to Edmonton in the 2008 offseason.
Cole played for Team USA at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
