Gilbert Brule is a Canadian center on the Edmonton Oilers.
Brule was drafted in the first round of the 2005 draft, by the Columbus Blue Jackets, after posting an impressive career in the minors with the Vancouver Giants. Brule struggled in his first three seasons in the NHL, scoring only 19 points in his first full season. After another inept season with the Blue Jackets in 2007-08, he was traded to Edmonton in the offseason.
Brule played for Team Canada at the 2004 U-18 tournament, winning a gold medal.
