Rafael Pereira da Silva

Rafael Pereira da Silva, most commonly known as Rafael, is a teenage Brazilian football player who currently features for the English and European giants Manchester United. He is a versatile footballer who can feature as a right sides midfielder as well as a right back.

Rafael developed at the prestigious youth academy of Fluminense and along with his brother Fabio was spotted by Manchester United scouts. He joined Man United in January 2008 and was drafted into the first team for the Red Devils in the 2008-2009 season and made his Premier League debut against Newcastle United on the opening day of the 2008-2009 Premiership season.

Rafael made his first start for Manchester United on September 23,2008 against Middlesbrough in the third round of the League Cup and made his first start in Europe against Aalborg BK in the UEFA Champions League.
