Jack Andrew G. Wilshere is an English footballer in his mid-teens who currently features for the English Premier League club Arsenal. He plays as an attacking midfielder and despite his age he has already played in the Premier League and is expected to be a huge star in the coming years.

Jack Wilshere is essentially a creative midfielder who prefers to play in the ‘hole’ behind the striker. But he is versatile enough to play as a right or left sided midfielder.

Jack Wilshere joined the Arsenal youth academy in October 2001 and progressed very smoothly through the ranks and actually earned some good names for his performances. In February 2008 Wilshere made his debut for the Arsenal reserves against Reading and scored for his side too.

Jack Wilshere’s development and performances at the junior levels impressed the club manager Arsene Wenger and he decided to take the schoolboy in his pre-season matches. His first team debut came against Barnet as a substitute and played his first home game for the senior side against Juventus.

Jack Wilshere made his Premiership debut for Arsenal against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on September 13,2008 and came on in the 84th minute of the match for Robin van Persie. He then became the youngest ever league debutant for Arsenal at 16 years and 256 days and scored his first goal for the Gunners against Sheffield United in the Carling Cup.
