Thabo Patrick Sefolosha was born on May 2, 1984 in Vevey, Switzerland to a Swiss mother and a South African father. He plays shooting guard for the Chicago Bulls.

When Thabo was seventeen years old, he began playing professional basketball in Switzerland for the Tege Riviera Basket. He then agreed to play in the French leagues, for Elan Sportif Chalonnais.
After a couple of years, Thabo signed with the Italian team Angelico Biella.

The Philadelphia 76-ers drafted Thabo as the 13th overall pick in the 2006 draft. He was traded to the Chicago Bulls immediately afterward, for Rodney Carney and cash considerations.
Thabo immediately started playing for the NBA summer league, and then for the Bulls.
2006-07: 71 games, starting 4, averaged 3 points a game.
2007-08: 69 games, starting 22. Averaged 6.7 points per game.
