Andres Marcelo Nocioni was born on November 30, 1979 in Santa Fe, Argentina. He is a dual Argentinian/Italian citizen. He plays both small and power forward for the Chicago Bulls.

International Career
Andres played professional basketball in the Argentine basketball league (LNB) beginning with the 1995–96 season. He was named the Best Sixth Man for the 1998–99 season. In 2001, Anders entered the Spanish professional league, playing for the TAU Cerámica.

Andres also played on the Argentinian National team, and in 2002, that team became the first team to beat the United States at the Basketball World Championship, held that year in Indianapolis, Indiana.

NBA
Andres was signed as an undrafted rookie free-agent by the Bulls in 2004.

He played 81 games during his rookie season, starting in 38 of them, and averaged 8 points a game.

In his second season, he averaged 13 points per game. He started in 43 games, and played in all 82. He was the Bulls' Player of the Year that season.

In his third season (2006–07), Andres missed some time due to plantar fasciitis. He did not return until late in the season, on April 8, 2007, and so played in a total of 53 games.

In his fourth season (2007-08), Andres played in all 82 games, but only started in 27 of them. He averaged 13 points per game.

Andres and the Bulls agreed to a 5-year deal with the Bulls for $38 million, which Anderse signed in July, 2007.
