Ashley Young is an English football player who plays striker or midfielder for Aston Villa.
He is a product of Watford's youth club, which he joined in 2000. In 2002 he was enrolled by the A-team and made his debut in 2003 at 21 years old.
At the end of the 2004/05 season he received Watford's Young Player of the Season award and several clubs made bids on him. In 2007 he finally settled for Aston Villa and an offer of 9.75 million pounds.
Young has played for England U21.
