Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods is an American professional golfer who was born on December 30, 1975 in Cypress, California. He is considered to be the best golfer of all time, and has been ranked the World’s No. 1 golfer for several times.

He started playing golf at the age of two and had a television appearance on The Mike Douglas Show. At the age of five, he was featured in the Golf Digest Magazine and on ABC’s That’s Incredible. Before turning professional, he won the Junior World Golf Championships six times making him the youngest golfer to win the U.S. Junior Amateur title at the age of 15.

He attended Stanford University in 1994 but left college and turned professional in August 1996. As a professional golfer, he won a total of 94 golf wins, including fourteen Career Grand Slam titles with four The Masters titles, four PGA Championships, three U.S. Open titles, and three Open Championship titles.

Like all other sportsperson, Woods suffered from a knee injury in 1994 that started as a benign tumor, then had his second surgery by December 2002, and by 2008, after The Masters tournament, he took some time off to deal with his knee injury.

His return in 2009 was anticipated by many. His first win for the year was during the Arnold Palmer Invitational defeating Sean O’Hair in the final round. He then won the 2009 Memorial Tournament as well as the 2009 season of the AT&T National wherein his hosted it himself. However, he missed the cut of the 2009 Open Championships for the second time in his career. And at the 2009 PGA Championships, he was defeated by then not so favored Y.E. Yang of Korea.
