Jose Manuel Reina Paez, commonly known simply as Jose Reina, is a Spanish international football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Liverpool. Reina is a goalkeeper and is the son of the famous Atletico Madrid custodian Miguel Reina Santos. He has won the Premiership Golden Gloves award for the last three years.

Jose Reina is a graduate of the famed FC Barcelona youth academy and made his debut for the senior side in 2002. He featured in just 30 league matches over the next two seasons at the Camp Nou cathedral and then joined Villarreal on loan in the summer of 2002.

In 2004 Villarreal decided to make the loan switch a permanent one but Reina stayed at the Madrigal for just one more season as he was signed by Liverpool in the summer of 2005. Reina was one of the best custodians in La Liga in his three seasons at Villarreal and appeared in 109 league matches.

Jose Reina took over as the regular first choice custodian at Liverpool from his first season itself at Anfield and has been holding onto that position ever since. He has developed to be one of the best in the world and played in over 100 league matches for Liverpool till now.

Jose Reina made his international debut for Spain in 2005 and has played 10 matches so far for his nation. He was part of the 23-man Spain squad for the Euro 2004 finals.
