Daniel Alves

Daniel Alves da Silva, commonly known only as Dani Alves, is a Brazilian international footballer who currently features for the Spanish side Sevilla FC. He plays as an attacking right back and is regarded as the best in the world in his position.

Dani Alves commenced his professional career at Brazilian side Bahia in 2001 and moved to Sevilla in 2002 initially on a six-month loan. He was quickly given a permanent deal and the player has been with the Andalucian giants ever since.

At Sevilla Dani Alves has progressed into one of the best and most entertaining right wing back in the world and is now a highly soughted player in Spain. He is reputed to be signed by Spanish and European giants FC Barcelona in the summer of 2008.

Dani Alves earned his first international cap for Brazil in October 2006 when he came on as a substitute against Ecuador in a friendly international. Alves has featured in 13 more internationals for Brazil since then.
