Michael Tonge

Michael William Tonge is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Stoke City. He plays as a midfielder.

Michael Tonge actually started his football at the youth academy of Manchester United but soon switched over to Sheffield United. He made his first team debut for Sheffield in 2000 and played for them for 8 years, scoring 21 goals in 262 league matches.

Michael Tonge was a vital player for Sheffield in his eight seasons in the first team and also played in the Premiership for Sheffield. He exhibited his tremendous ability at Sheffield but there remains a lingering doubt that he could have developed into a better player than he is.
