Randolph Albert Morris was born on January 2, 1986 in Houston, Texas. He plays power forward for the Atlanta Hawks.
Randolph is 6' 11" and weighs 270 pounds.
High School
Randolph attended Landmark Christian High School, where he averaged 23.0 ppg, 16.0 rpg and 8.0 bpg as a senior.
College
Randolph was heavily recruited, but elected to attend the University of Kentucky. He attended for a single year, then decided to enter the NBA draft in 2005, but went undrafted. He had contact with an agent, but did not hire one, so the NCAA decided to reinstate him (though he had to miss the first half of the season), and he developed his skills during the next year.
NBA
Because Randolph had declared for the draft, even though he hadn't been selected, he was still considered a free agent. On March 23, 2007, he signed a two-year, $1.6 million contract with the New York Knicks, five days after Kentucky was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament. However, over the course of two years, he only played in a handful of games.
In the summer of 2008, he joined the summer league team of the Atlanta Hawks, and signed a two year, $1.7 million contract with them on July 29.
