Wilson Palacios

Wilson Roberto Palacios Suazo is a Honduran international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Wigan Athletic. He plays as a midfielder.

Wilson Palacios started his club football career at Club Deportivo Victoria along with his brothers Milton, Jerry, Johnny and Cesar and was then transferred to Olimpia. He made his first team debut for Olimpia in 2002 and played for the them for five years, scoring 32 goals in 102 league matches and made himself a star in his native Honduras.

Wilson Palacios played the first half of the 2007-2008 season on loan at Birmingham City and made his full debut for the Blues against Liverpool at Anfield in a 0-0 draw. On January 2008 Palacios was signed by Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee and made his debut for the Lactics against Derby County in the English Premier League.

Wilson Palacios made his international debut for Honduras in 2003 and although he is still only 24 years of years he has featured in over 50 matches for his nation and has scored 4 goals. Football experts regard him as the best Honduran footballer along with David Suazo.
