Mario Bennett is currently playing for Hebraica y Macabi in Uruguay. He is a professional basketball player from the United States who plays in the power forward position.
Bennett studied in Denton High School in Denton. Later he took admission in Arizona State University. He could not take part in the 1992-93 season as he was recovering from knee surgery. Even though he could play for just three seasons he was ranked first in the annals of the school in field goal percentage which was 0.587 and number of blocked shots which were 191 as well as was ranked 8th in rebounding which were 675. During college he took part in 87 games and his averages per game were – 1.1 blocks, 2.2 steals, 2.8 turnovers, 1.6 assists, 7.8 rebounds, 32.3 minutes.
During the 1995 NBA draft he was chosen by the Phoenix Suns. In 1996-97 he had an average of 8 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game. In 1997 he signed a contract with Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent. During 1997-98 he participated in 45 games and had an average of 2.8 rebounds and 3.9 points per game. Further he also played for Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers. After his career with the NBA he played for teams in France, Russia and Jordan.
