Charles Barkley did his schooling from the Leeds High School in Leeds, Alabama. He later attended the Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama where he played college basketball for the college team called Auburn Tigers. In 1984, Barkley was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the National Basketball Association. He was named to the NBA All rookie team that year. In his second year in the NBA with the 76ers, Barkley was selected to the All NBA Second Team. He was yet again named to the All NBA Second Team in 1986. In 1993, Barkley was traded to the Phoenix Suns. The same year he was named as the NBA Most Valuable Player. In 1996, he was sold to the Houston Rockets. Barkley retired from the NBA in 2000.

In a total of 1073 games that Charles Barkley played in the NBA, he averaged 22.1 points per game, 3.9 assists per game and 11.7 rebounds per game. His career best of 28.3 points per game came with the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1987-88 season where he played a total of 80 games starting in every game of the season.
