Major Leagues
Dana made his major league debut on July 16, 2005 for the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers traded him to the the Arizona Diamondbacks on November 5, 2006, along with Doug Davis and Dave Krynzel, in exchange for Greg Aquino, Johnny Estrada and Claudio Vargas.

On December 14, 2007, Dana was traded as part of a 6-player deal, to the Oakland Athletics for Dan Haren and Connor Robertson.

On August 3, 2008, the As optioned Dana to Sacramento. He was called back up on August 23, 2008.

Personal
Dana's brother, Kyle, was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 43rd round of the 2005 June free agent draft.
