Aaron Kampman

Aaron Kampman plays defensive end for the NFL's Green Bay Packers. Kampman, who played his college ball at the University of Iowa, became a Packer via the 2002 NFL Draft. Chosen in the fifth round, he was the 156th pick overall.

In his four seasons playing for Iowa, the defensive end notched a total of 342 tackles, which was the seventh highest total ever by any Iowa football player. He co-captained the 2001 team, was voted to first team All-Big Ten and was a first team academic All-American.

In six years with the Packers, he's played in 87 regular season games, posting 356 tackles, including 254 solo bring downs. He's recorded a total of 41.0 sacks and 11 forced fumbles. In 2006 and 2007, Kampman was selected to both the Pro Bowl and as an All-Pro.

In 2006, Kampman had a watershed season, recording 15.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. Although he doesn't possess a lot of athletic ability, the defensive end has worked tenaciously to develop his technique and to fine tune his skills. He's able to run down rushers from behind and has his motor on high all of the time. His positive attitude, penchant for being an overachiever and immense work ethic have made him a topnotch starter.
