Ruben Brown is an offensive guard in the NFL who is presently an unrestricted free agent. The Buffalo Bills chose him out of the University of Pittsburgh in round one of the 1995 draft. Brown was the 14th pick overall.

The 6-3, 300 pound Brown played with the Bills from 1995 to 2003 and with the Chicago Bears from 2004 to 2007. In 13 seasons, the durable guard started 181 games. Over that time, he was selected to the Pro Bowl nine times (from 1996 through 2003 and in 2006). He was also an All-Pro four times (1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002). Brown has a reputation as being one of the finest in-line blockers in the league, and he is also an exceptionally effective drive-blocker.

In early November 2007, Brown, who was then playing for the Chicago Bears, was placed on Injured Reserve. The 35 year-old guard, who had been battling shoulder problems, played in eight games that season. In 3.5 seasons with the Bears, he started 45 games, including the last 32 straight. In six separate years, he started in all 16 regular season contests. As a member of the Bears, he participated in the 2006 Super Bowl

A NFL club has not signed Brown, as of this date, for the 2008 season.
