Jonathan Greening is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion. He is an attacking left sided midfielder and can also play more centrally. Greening is the captain of West Brom.

Jonathan Greening started his professional club football at York City in 1996 and played until 1998, scoring 2 goals in 26 matches.

Jonathan Greening then made the big move to Manchester United in March 1998 and stayed at Old Trafford until 2001. He could make only 14 appearances in the Premiership but did make the substitutes’ bench for the 1999 UEFA Champions League final.

In 2001 Middlesbrough signed Jonathan Greening from Man United. Greening got more playing time at the Riverside Stadium and scored 4 goals in 99 Premiership matches.

West Bromwich Albion signed Jonathan Greening in 2004 and the player has been a regular for West Brom ever since. He has played over 150 league matches for the club and is also currently the skipper of West Brom.
