Carl Hoefkens is a Belgian international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion. He plays as a defender.

Carl Hoefkens started his professional club football career at Belgian side Lierse in 1996 and played for them until 2001, making 129 appearances in the league and scoring 1 goal.

Hoefkens subsequently played for Belgian sides Lommel, Westerlo and Germinal Beerscot and was signed by Stoke City in the summer of 2005. He made his debut for Stoke in a 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday in August 2005.

Carl Hoefkens played for Stoke for two seasons, scoring 5 goals in 85 matches and hugely impressing himself in English football.

West Brom signed Hoefkens in the summer of 2007 for 1 million pounds on a two-year deal worth 750,000 pounds and has been a first team regular since then.
