Wide receiver Isaac Bruce played his college football with Memphis prior to being drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1994. The Rams made him the 33rd overall pick, going in the second round of the NFL Draft.

Bruce went to three schools—West Los Angeles College, Santa Monica College and finally the University of Memphis. He finished his college career with 113 receptions for 1,586 yards (14.0 YPC) and 15 touchdowns.

In 14 NFL seasons, Bruce has played in 197 regular-season contests, catching 942 passes for 14,109 yards (15.0 YPC) and 84 touchdowns. He's made 15 fumbles, losing 10. All of these stats have been accumulated with the Rams. After being release by the Rams on February 28, 2008, he signed a two-year, $6 million deal on February 29, 2008, with the San Francisco 49ers. Bruce has been a three-time All-Pro selection (1995, 1996, 1999), a four-time Pro Bowl selection (1996, 1999, 2000, 2001) and a Super Bowl champion (XXXIV).

Bruce, who is six-foot-even and 188 pounds, is a smart veteran who still possesses fine pass catching and route running chops. A durable player, in 10 of 14 seasons he's played in 14 or more games. He's got fine speed, making him a sound deep threat. His quick, evasive moves allow him to pick up extra yards after a catch. His burst off the line is adequate and he uses subtle moves to throw defenders off balance. His fine timing, quick hands and ability to extend are exceptionally useful in getting the advantage over defenders. He adjusts quickly to bad passes, changing play conditions and miscues. Bruce is exceptionally adept at getting his feet down in bounds when catching a sideline or end zone pass.
