Wideout Ashley Lelie, who played his college ball at Hawaii, was drafted by the Denver Broncos in round one as the 19th pick overall in the 2002 NFL Draft.

Lelie finished his college career as Hawaii's leader in receiving yards with 3,341 and in touchdown receptions with 32. He averaged 17.2 YPC. Lelie is the highest draft pick to come out of the University of Hawaii program.

Lelie was with the Broncos from 2002-2005 and then with the Atlanta Falcons for the 2006 season. Since 2007, he has been a member of the San Francisco 49ers.

In six NFL seasons, Lelie has appeared in 94 regular-season games. He's caught 206 passes for 3,552 yards (17.2 YPC), 13 touchdowns and 145 first downs. He's fumbled once. Lelie has also spent occasional time as a rusher and on special teams coverage units.

Lelie, who is six-foot-three and 195 pounds, has not lived up to expectations. Although he's been a starter for most of his career, he lacks competitiveness and football smarts. He's athletic with fine downfield speed and the ability to break a play open after a catch. He's got a good burst, fine acceleration and quick feet. But he's a sloppy route runner and, at times, seems disinterested in the game.
