Wide receiver Michael Gasperson played his college football with San Diego and was then signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2005.
In 2002, he was First-team All-Pioneer Football League. That season, he grabbed 57 passes for 907 yards and 10 touchdowns. In three college seasons, Gasperson caught 116 passes for 1,894 yards and 17 TDs. He was team MVP and honored as one of Sports Networks I-AA Mid-Major All American Team in 2004.
Gasperson has played in one game, making his debut in 2007 in week 16 when the Eagles played the New Orleans Saints. He's accumulated no statistics. In that contest, QB Donovan McNabb did toss a pass to him, but he dropped it.
The wideout is big at six-foot-four and 220 pounds, making him a good potential target. Prior to the start of the 2008 season, the Eagles re-signed him to a new three-year deal. He shows good speed, developing skills and some innate football smarts. He's a fourth or fifth-string backup receiver.
