Anquan Boldin

Anquan Boldin is a wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals. Prior to turning pro, he played for Florida State. Arizona chose him in round two as the 54th overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft.

At Florida State, he played in 23 games, catching 118 passes for 1,790 yards (15.2 YPC) and 21 touchdowns.

As a pro, he was AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (2003) and a Pro Bowl selection in 2003 and 2006. In six years with the Cardinals, Boldin has played in 68 games, catching 413 passes for 5,458 yards (13.2 YPC) and 29 touchdowns. He has fumbled seven times, losing the ball five. He's also contributed to a degree on special teams, coverage and return units, and as a rusher.

At six-foot-one and 217 pounds, Boldin is a good-sized NFL receiver who has a wealth of abilities. He's a fine number two pass catcher, who is willing to play up the middle or clear the way for other receivers. He's a tough competitor and although he does not possess top speed, he's a fine route runner who's able to gain the advantage over faster defensive players. Boldin brings good agility and fine quickness that allow him to separate, getting in the clear on intermediate routes. He reads defenses well and runs with power and drive after the catch. Boldin is also a willing blocker. He has been injured over the past few seasons, which has cut down on his production. A smart and versatile performer, he's a player that can be utilized in various ways.
