Michael Scott Doleac is an American professional basketball player who is currently playing with the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on June 15, 1977 in San Antonio, Texas, USA. He plays as a center for the Wolves. Doleac weighs 262 lb (119 kg) and is 6 ft 11 in (2.11 m). He currently wears the number 51 jersey for the Wolves.

Doleac completed his high school from the Central Catholic High School, Portland, Oregon. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1998. He was selected as the 12th overall pick in the NBA draft by the Orlando Magic. After four years at the Utah University he was amongst the school’s all-time top ten in 3 categories: 10th in scoring (1,519 points), 8th in rebounds (886) and 4th in free throws made (472).

In 1998-99 season Doleac appeared in 49 of Orlando’s 50 games and averaged 6.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 15.9 minutes. He also had a 46.8 % field goal accuracy and scored in double figures on 11 occasions and led the team by becoming the highest scorer and the achieve the maximum number of rebounds in one game.

In the 2006-07 season Doleac was signed by the Miami Heat. He appeared in all 56 games and had a average score of 3.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 12.5 minutes per game. Doleac missed five games that season due to an injury to the right ankle. After injury period Doleac returned to season with a bang. He topped the Heat in blocks six times, in rebounds four times and in steals one time. He was also the leading scorer off the bench for the Heat. Doleac won a championship in 2006 with the Miami Heat.

At the end of the 2006-07 season Michael Doleac was drafted to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He started the Wolves line-up in the 2007-08 NBA season. His average scores were 2.4 ppg, 2.0 rpg and 0.3 apg. At the end of the regular season the Wolves were ranked 4th in the Northwest division of the Western conference.
