Thomas Andrew “Tom” Huddlestone is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. He is a young defensive midfielder and is renowned for his figure, passing skills and ball distribution.

Tom Huddlestone started his professional club career at Derby County in 2002 and played 88 league matches after making his debut for the senior side on the opening day of the 2003-2004 season in a 3-0 defeat to Stoke City but was still named as the Man of the Match.

Huddlestone was signed by Tottenham Hotspur in the January 2005 for 2.5 million. He was immediately sent out on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers for the second half of the 2005-2006 season.

Huddlestone returned to Spurs in the summer of 2006 and has been making good progress as he has already mustered over 50 Premier League matches for Spurs, earning praise and comparison with Michael Carrick and Glenn Hoddle.
