Roger Telemachus is a Right arm fast medium bowler and a Right handed batsman with the South African cricket team. He has also played cricket for the Boland and Western Province cricket clubs.

Roger has been playing first class cricket since 1994. He made his International debut in a One day International match against Pakistan at Durban in 1998. He claimed the wickets of Aamer Sohail and Waqar Younis by bowling them out and gave away 40 runs in the 8.4 overs he bowled. Roger did not come out to bat at that match and South Africa won the match by 52 runs.
Held back and bothered by injuries throughout his career, Roger was denied of opportunities in 1997 and 1998. In 2006, Roger played his first Twenty20 International match against Australia at Johannesburg. Roger bowled an expensive 4 overs which were punished for 40 runs and claimed a wicket. Despite a showcase of mediocre performance in 2000 and 2001 he was named to the 2007 World Cup South African team. He has yet to play any International test matches.

In a total of 37 One Day Internationals’, Roger has scored 73 runs and claimed 56 wickets at an economy of 4.89 runs per over. He has also played a total of 3 International Twenty20’s where he has claimed 2 wickets at an economy of 7.50 runs per over.
