Murray was drafted in the first round pick by the Bruins in 1991. He did four seasons in the Bruins and was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins where he remained only for a year before moving on to the LA Kings. He stayed with the Kings for five years before being traded back to Boston Bruins, where he during the season 2002/03 did his best season ever and played in the NHL All-Star Game.
