Jose Baxter has been a prolific striker at youth level and by the time he turned 15 he had already shattered the goalscoring record at international youth level of Patrick Kluivert. He made his first team debut for Everton in a friendly against FC Sion on July 2008 and has been drafted into the first team for the 2008-2009 season.
