Jermaine Lloyd Pennant is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Liverpool. He is a right sided midfielder who can play as a winger too.
Jermaine Pennant developed at the youth academy of Arsenal and was hailed as a promising player. He made his first debut for Arsenal in November 1999 against Middlesbrough in the League Cup when he was almost 17 years of age. He however couldn’t manage to hold onto his place and was subsequently loaned out to Watford, Leeds United and Birmingham City.
Liverpool signed Pennant in July 2006 for just under 7 million pounds. He has been reasonably good at Anfield and was impressive on the right side of the Liverpool midfield in the UEFA Champions League in 2006-2007.
