Kyle Boller, who in college quarterbacked the California Golden Bears, is the starting signal caller for the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens took him in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Boller was the 19th pick overall.

At the University of California, Berkeley, Boller played in 42 games, completing 47.8-percent of his passes (622 of 1,301) for 7,980 yards, 64 touchdowns and 48 interceptions.

In five seasons with the Ravens, Boller has played in 53 games. He's seen action as the team's backup and starter. He has played in all 16 regular-season contests just once (2004). During the course of his career, Boller has completed 45 touchdown passes and thrown 44 picks. His QB rating is 71.9 and his completion rate is 56.9-percent. He's thrown for a total of 7,846 yards.

Boller is a fine athlete, good runner and, at six-foot-three and 220 pounds, is physically right for the job. His arm strength is first-rate, he's got quick, nimble feet and he can take a hit. Despite possessing fine physical attributes and decent skills, Boller is prone to mental mistakes and bad decisions. He also has issues with ball placement, often making his receivers work too hard to get to the ball. His mechanics are erratic and his pocket patience is often lacking.
