Patrick Ramsey played his NCAA football with Tulane before being picked by the Washington Redskins in round one of the 2002 NFL Draft. He was the 32nd pick overall.

At Tulane, Ramsey set 20 school passing records, including most yards in the air in a single season, attempts and completions. In 1999, he threw 25 touchdowns, the second-most by any Tulane QB. The following year, he tossed 24 touchdowns.

In his first three years as a pro, Ramsey was the Skins starting quarterback. But he often split time with other signal callers. In 2004, he was designated as the starter by Joe Gibbs, who had replaced Steve Spurrier as head coach. But after Ramsey went down with a slight injury in the first game, he was demoted to the backup spot. In 2006, he was traded to the New York Jets. The Jets waived him after that season. Ramsey has served as the Bronco backup since 2007.

In six professional seasons, the quarterback has played in 37 games, completing 55.9-percent of his passes (509 of 910). He’s thrown 35 touchdown passes and 30 interceptions. His rating stands at 74.8.
